The Bahamas is world renown for its breathtakingly beautiful seas and while many are fortunate to experience snorkeling and seeing the kaleidoscopic views from above many miss out on the majestic world down below.
Being an island girl, originally from Abaco, Bahamas, I have been fortunate to spend a majority of my life surrounded by the ocean. There is something so peaceful and serene about being submerged beneath the salty blanket, floating effortlessly, light as a feather in the air. The world stands still and you feel as if you are in a safe haven.
I was beyond excited to coordinate and direct an exclusive underwater bridal shoot at a reef off of Green Turtle Cay, Abaco. A stunning backdrop of candy colored coral inhabited by several reef sharks, stingrays and schools of various tropical fish. It truly is a one of a kind experience; a universe all its own.
One of my favorite things about The Abacos and the Bahamian Out Islands in general, is our easy accessibly to some of the best snorkel and dive spots in the world. It is not uncommon to see sea turtles, friendly sharks and sometimes manatees visiting the shores. How wonderful it is to only be steps away from such a magical, one of a kind, off the beaten path world. It is the perfect setting for a bridal shoot that symbolically embodies the same.
